A well-established Accountancy Practice in the Braintree area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The firm offers a flexible working arrangement with the possibility of working from home for 2/3 days a week, depending on experience. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in accountancy practice and a desire to take on a senior position.
Day to day of the role:- Preparing year-end statutory accounts and tax services for SME businesses.
- Producing management accounts.
- Posting journals and handling HMRC and Companies House queries on behalf of clients.
- Overseeing the bookkeeping and payroll teams, ensuring accurate double entry bookkeeping to trial balance and completing VAT returns.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience within an Accountancy Practice.
- ACA/ACCA/QBE Qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proficiency in TaxCalc, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and legislation.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
