Senior Accountant

Location: Maui, Hawaii

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

The Client:

My client, a leading provider of resort services, is on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations for multiple companies.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the companies maintain strong financial health
• Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly, managing cashflows, bank balances and budgets, as well as responding to finance queries in a prompt and efficient manner
• Generating daily, week and monthly reports, adhering to company deadlines and rules
• Examine financial statements to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, identify and analyse any discrepancies, trends, patterns on Income Statements and Balance Sheets
• Presenting information and making financial recommendations based on the analysis
• Undertake regular audits
• Assist with general HR duties including onboarding and benefits
• Support with the payroll process for multiple companies
• Complete special projects assigned to support the organisation’s financial goals
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxes and financial regulations to ensure compliance

Role Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably managing high-volume financial operations
• CPA license is required
• Hospitality background is advantageous
• Have an eye for small details
• Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and local and federal procedures and regulations
• Experience with accounting and payroll systems and proficient in Microsoft Office
