Senior Accountant Finance Operations

Senior Accountant (Finance Operations) | 6 month FTC | £55,000-£60,000 | London/Hybrid

Arthur Financial have partnered with a leading insurer based in London, to support with their search for a Senior Accountant to join in the Finance Operations team. Due to pressures on the business functions, they are looking to bring someone on board immediately.

Key responsibilities:

• Support non-technical operational activities, including vendor management, Concur (T&E), Fixed Assets, Leases, Payroll, AP & expense accounting and reconciliations.
• Provide commentary on expense accruals as well as actual versus budget variance analysis.
• Review reconciliations, ensuring they are completed on a timely basis.
• Contribute to systems implementation.
• Develop and maintain end to end process documentation covering key processes to support financial control.
• Support internal and external audit teams on operational finance matters.
• Ensure optimal processes for processing payments are carried out with international treasury team.
• Ensure processes for expense allocations and related intercompany billings and settlements.
• Working with group tax team and outsource providers to ensure tax submissions are accurate and submitted on time (VAT, Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing etc.)
• Provide support to Finance Operations Manager on various projects as required.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Part-Qualified/Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Insurance industry experience (desirable)
