WE Talent are pleased to be working with our global Communications client to hire a Part TimeSenior Accountant for their London office
- Monday to Friday
- 9.00 am until 1.00 pm (20 hours per week)
- 12 month contract to commence in March
- Remote / hybrid working with the expectation to attend the London office once a week after training
What you'll be doing:
The role will report into the VP of Finance and be part of the UK and US finance teams, predominantly responsible for EMEA Accounting based out of London
- Manage commercial finances for a client facing team and be the first point of contact for to help run their accounts efficiently
- Provides support and keeps the VP Finance updated on all matters of significance
- Quarterly budgeting and forecast updates
- Monthly Variance analysis by comparing to budget/forecast
- Update rolling forecast/budget with actuals
- Manage the month end/quarter end reporting including reconciliations
- New Vendor and vendor invoicing approval
- New Clients and Client invoicing Approval
- Monthly journal postings as part of month-end cycle (Accruals /Fixed Asset)
- Understand revenue recognition process (fixed fee - percentage of completion)
- Ensure all billing back up documentation is complete
- Credit control and running aged customer reports and providing commentary for review
- Review monthly payroll and investigate/action discrepancies
- Assists in the annual audit (only includes high level analytics requests) and ensures financial practices are compliant with statutory requirements (IFRS)
- Annual Vat and Tax packs - reporting / compliance
- Quarterly VAT return using SoFi
- Assisting with completing reports to the parent company
- Review and approval of employee expenses
- Line management of the Accounts Payable function (one person) including work planning, ongoing support for learning & development.
Skills, Behaviours and Experience Required
- Experience of using Deltek Maconomy would be beneficial
- Professional service / agency / PR, Marketing or Communications experience is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
