This position is ideal for an individual with a background in purchase ledger and payroll, looking to enhance their expertise in accounts and finance.
Senior Accounts Assistant - About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the accounts office and provide financial support to the management team.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Process purchase orders, invoices and expenses
- Cash management and bank reconciliation
- Check and reconcile supplier statements and ensure invoices are paid on time
- Processing payroll
- Work closely with the central accounts team to help identify all receipts and payments
- Assist with company’s annual budgets and business plan
- Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts
The successful Senior Accounts Assistant will have/be:
- Purchase ledger and payroll experience is essential
- Previous experience of working in hospitality would be an advantage
- Excellent IT skills including Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A self-motivated, collaborative and proactive approach
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently as well as within a team
- Excellent time management, able to prioritise workload and ensure that deadlines are met
