Senior Accounts Assistant

Welcome to a world where Champagne Fridays and tasty new office snacks greet you every week as a Senior Accounts Assistant. We’re on the hunt for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a growing wholesaler in Fareham.
As you step into this role, you'll be immersed in new projects and a collaborative atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include processing sales and purchase invoices, handling banking activities, collaborating with suppliers, contributing to system enhancements, and providing crucial support during month-end and year-end processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Supporting with banking, processing payments and allocating receipts
• Liaising with suppliers regarding queries
• Assisting with system changes and process improvements
• Providing support throughout month end, ensuring nominals are reconciled
• Supporting throughout year end audit

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role, such as Senior Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator / Finance Administrator / Assistant Accountant / Purchase Ledger Clerk
• Ideally AAT qualified, but not essential
• Good understanding of Sage is desirable
