Senior Accounts Assistant

Your new company
You will be working for a rapidly growing business in the Southampton area in which you will be joining their experienced finance team.
Your new role

• Processing payment requests to ensure a swift and accurate service to our suppliers
• Record outgoing/incoming payments in our finance records and post other financial transactions as required by the role
• Responsible for the preparation of statements in line with regulatory requirements
• Preparation of daily cash reconciliations
• Manage unallocated cash, ensuring all cash is allocated on a timely and accurate basis
• Handle and monitor outstanding bank reconciliation queries and liaising with the relevant teams to resolve in a timely manner
• Play a key role in the production of monthly/weekly cash forecasting
• Preparation of daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts, including posting any journals
• Provide support as necessary for internal and external audits
• Work with colleagues to identify, support and implement system/process improvements
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Full right-to-work in the UK, with prior experience working within a UK finance team
• Experience working in a similar role
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of banking / cash operation procedures
• System change management experience desirable
