About the company:
My client is a leading construction company that has an annual turnover of over 38 million. The have over 60 people working for them and they are continuing to grow further due to their success.
The Role:
This role is to work closely with the Financial controller with the opportunity to move in to this role in months to come (succession plan in place).
Duties:
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT ensuring all transactions are captured and reported correctly, including DRC transactions
- Preparation of monthly CIS returns and reconciliation's ensuring compliance, correct processing and verification processes.
- Month end posting reviews, corrections and analysis of overhead spend.
- Detailed balance sheet reconciliation's
- Payroll administration and processing
- Cost allocation to projects
- Production of detailed monthly management reports and board pack and reporting to group
- Control and maintenance of cash flow forecasting schedules
- Monthly WIP production, cost accruals.
- Assist in preparation and management of annual budgets
- Prepare reports of actual versus budget with explanations of variances.
- Assist in provision of financial data to support key business decisions.
- KPI reporting
- Production of department overhead schedules and reporting
- Supervision and support of 3 team members ensuring the team are fully up to date with compliance, team procedures, legislation as well as developing team member learning.
- Assisting with annual audit and supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts and internal reporting to group.
- Long term development into the FC role.
