As Accounts Assistant, you would play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Team as we look to grow as a charity and launch new community hubs.
Position:Accounts Assistant
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Location: The Hideaway, Partington Shopping Centre, M31 4EL
You would initially be required to work in the office with the potential for some remote working after completing sufficient training.
Hours: 16 to 24 hours per week.
You would initially be required to work at some of the same times as our Finance Manager, with more flexibilty available after training has been completed.
Salary: £25,350 and £27,885 pro rata, to be reviewed annually

Key responsibilities:
- You'll process receipts and payments made via cash, cheque or online using the relevant software and systems.
- You'll process purchase invoices on Xero and QuickBooks.
- You'll process the online transactions for web transactions made via Third Party Companies.
- You'll process company credit card transactions.
- You'll help to maintain the donation database and assist with Gift Aid claims.
- You'll carry out other bookkeeping tasks and journals, ensuring all information is entered for bank & till reconciliations.
- You'll support with the completion financial and funding reports.
- You'll assist with the weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
- You'll work with the Finance Manager to process information for the VAT Return on a quarterly basis.
- You'll review the customer and supplier ledgers, ensuring all cleared on a regular basis.
This job is for you if:
- You have experience of bookkeeping or accounting, prefereably for a charity.
- You have a good working knowledge of Excel.
- You have experience using accounting software, such as Quickbooks and Xero.
- You have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- You are able to work in a discipline and organised manner.
- You have a high attention to detail.
- You work well with others, demonstrating respect, compromise and support.
