JRRL are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator to work within a prestigious school for a 12-month maternity contract, ideally to start asap. The role requires someone who has excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word, and who has an advanced ability to work with, manipulate and report from databases. This is a fast-paced role, working in a friendly team.
Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Additional hours: 12 Saturdays per year 8:00am – 1.00pm

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Administrator:
- Arrange daily teacher cover.
- Support key communications including monitoring and coordinating outgoing mailings to staff, parents and students.
- Support the administration of school events.
- Lead and prepare the start and end of term arrangements and prepare tutor resource packs for distribution ahead of the new academic year.
- Schedule termly calendar meetings with key internal stakeholders and coordinate the production of the school’s online calendar.
- Monitor multiple shared Outlook mailboxes.
- Produce reference letters for current and former students.
- Support the administration of the daily registration process as needed.
- Support the administration of DBS applications or trip packs as needed.
- Operate bespoke school information systems such as ISAMS, SOCS, School Post and My School Portal.
- Ensure that student and parent records are appropriately maintained.
- Produce data reports when requested by Deputy Head Teachers or other Senior Leaders e.g. pupil attendance reports or staff cover reports.
- Maintain staff systems access.
- Build online forms to collect key information from students, parents and staff at key stages throughout the academic year e.g. Y11 Study Leave Forms.
- Organise the distribution of exam papers across campus for internal exams.
- Oversee the administration of the education guardianship agreement and verification process during the summer.
- Organise the production of school photographs at the beginning of the school year.
- Schedule the beginning of term assembly slots for all tutor groups.
- Manage the annual administration roll over process.
- Produce and maintain the school’s contact book.
Person Specification for the Senior Administrator:
- Experience of working as a Senior Administrator.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Ability to work with, manipulate and report from databases.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, being highly supportive and approachable and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines, and to work flexibly to adapt to changing needs.
