What You Can Expect

As a Senior Advisor of Merger & Acquisition and Partnership, you will support the Utility Scale Renewable Development business in the US by managing the project acquisition process, assessing and formalizing development partnerships and contributing to the development and implementation of the ENGIE North America Renewable Global Business Unit (RGBU) businesses commercial strategy.

 

  • Source, prioritize and execute on a pipeline of project acquisition opportunities that support the business objectives of the Utility Scale Renewables Business (Solar, Wind and Storage)
  • Sourcing opportunities through relationships with other developers, brokers and advisors, responding to incoming opportunities as well as developing novel lead channels
  • Establish and maintain relationships across the business to ensure up to date information on business needs and priorities and prioritizing acquisition targets accordingly
  • Drive a cross functional process to assess project/pipeline or asset valuation, due diligence and asset acceptance into the portfolio
  • Prepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees as necessary
  • Secondary responsibility to support the Commercial Strategy team on development and update of the Utility Scales Renewable Development commercial and business strategy
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as speaker, panelist and solar energy leader
  • Participate in energy working groups, professional organizations, trade shows & conferences
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in a business development related role
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in renewables preferably in an origination, development, asset management or commercial strategy role
  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree with strong academic record from a leading undergraduate program where you completed courses in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or engineering
  • Strong attention to detail and inclination towards structure, organization, and process – as well as the ability to examine, question, and improve on the inputs and recommendations of others
  • Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, and good team player
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts, track progress and needs of each, and provide high quality deliverables accurately and on time
  • Able to work well with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to make onsite visits with clients, partners, counterparties and to attend tradeshows all while creating and executing on business opportunities.

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
