The Digital Workplace Data & AI team, within the Technology organisation at American Express, strives to deliver the best digital colleague experience through Data and AI. We work with partners across American Express to enable more personalised and predictive experiences for our colleagues as well as valuable insights for right time decisioning. The Senior Analyst - Data Analytics will report into the Director of Data & Analytics in Digital Workplace. We are looking for a top-tier Data Analyst with experience in working with large data sets, setting up and developing self-service business intelligence capabilities and reporting, as well as knowledge of how to write and pull data through data queries. In this role you will also be providing organised data layer (ODL) requirements, business and transformation rules to the engineering team and be responsible for data quality. The Senior Analyst - Data Analytics will partner closely with both the engineering teams and the product teams to deliver the best self-service business intelligence solution and data sets to our internal customers. You will also have the opportunity to help define and evolve the colleague insight space to include other data products and AI. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with key Product and Engineering leaders and other partner teams to deliver on their data & analytics requirements. Conduct sophisticated analyses and evaluate data and reporting to deliver product analytics or business insights. Develop advanced data reporting and dashboards to assist business stakeholders and collaborators. Own the setup and delivery of Self-Service BI for DW Validate and review reporting or analytical modelling results to ensure that product team needs are identified. Independently support product and servicing teams with advanced, complex statistical and quantitative analyses. In partnership, lead the development of modelling of quantitative and quantitative analysis projects. Leads multi-functional groups to define data and analytics requirements. Stays abreast of changes in the market to find opportunities for improve analytical capabilities and methods including the value of AI Desired Skills & Qualifications 5 years data analysis and/or data engineering Big Data Processing Data Analysis Self Service Business Intelligence Data Privacy and Governance Data Visualization KPI/Metric Design Programming / Scripting Requirements Management Knowledge and understanding of AI Solid understanding of Agile methodologies Ability to creatively problem solve.
