Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload encompassing both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Draft tailored documents, letters, and correspondence to meet the individual needs of our clients.
- Correspond with clients and opposing solicitors, attending meetings and negotiating with opposing parties.
- Provide support to the supervising partner as required.
- Proactively identify business development opportunities and cultivate relationships with clients and potential clients.
- Undertake administrative tasks including timely completion of timesheets and billing in accordance with firm guidelines.
- Stay updated with changes and developments in the law through continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction work, including drafting and negotiating construction documentation and handling adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and/or litigation.
- Familiarity with the Building Safety Fund and Developer Remediation Contract is desirable.
- Exceptional drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
- Proven track record in business development and ability to generate new work; a small following would be advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the construction team and across other practice groups within the firm, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate.
- Demonstrated judgment, decision-making skills, and resilience.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
