What’s the role and who are we looking for?
This role sits within a well-respected, successful and growing business development team and will help win business, retain and grow it by managing high profile and complex tenders. The team leads and implements all marketing, sales and client development programmes within LCP, and plays a key role in developing and delivering the firm’s strategy.
We have an exciting opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic bids professional who thrives on the challenges of winning tenders in the professional services sector, and who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team in the pursuit of winning.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day project management and ownership of bid plans working within the LCP bid process to agreed defined timelines
- Manage each bid by ensuring the qualification process is robust, developing win strategies and themes, supporting content development through outlining, storyboarding and writing phases, scheduling appropriate technical and commercial reviews to the creative delivery of the tender documents and pitch materials
- Coach the pitch teams to deliver a succinct, compelling and engaging propositions to prospects and existing clients
- Support the Senior Manager, Bids in driving the improvement programme in work winning activities and promote best bidding practice across LCP and beyond
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Graduate with 3+ years tender management experience, preferably within B2B professional or financial services, who is currently in a role where they independently manage large or complex bids
- Ideally you will have achieved APMP Foundation Level Accreditation as a minimum
- Technical knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent project management skills – prioritising, organising workload, planning, motivating others through to completion
- Ability to use judgement and decision making that considers the business’ objectives - applying analytical thinking, technical and business knowledge
- Ability to build and maintain excellent internal and external relationships. Can confidently communicate across all levels of the business using strong influencing skills and ability to work well with and get the best from a wide range of personalities.
- An understanding of professional services, particularly financial, actuarial, consulting, investment and insurance markets - would be valuable
- Partnership experience desirable
