Senior Bid Manager

Murphy are looking for someone who can produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates Murphy’s value proposition. This role will be focusing on Murphy’s Transportation and Infrastructure business units.

What you will be doing:
As a Senior Bid Manager, you will already know what’s expected for the role. But here’s some key responsibilities below for you to take a look at:

  • Compilation of PQQ Documents.
  • Compilation of Tender Deliverables.
  • Take a lead role in the qualification of potential Bids, ensuring resources are focused on the appropriate priority opportunities, both prior to and during the formal Bid process. 
  • Work with the Business Development Managers to devise the relationship development action plan that will ensure appropriate contact is made with all decision makers and influencers. 
  • Lead the development of the Bid strategy by ensuring the tendering team fully understand the client needs and can clearly articulate the benefits of the solution and value proposition. 
  • Conduct one to one and team coaching sessions to ensure the team fully understand the client needs, the solution and can clearly articulate their role, experience and credentials in a convincing, winning manner. 
  • Lead storyboarding sessions, participating in key review meetings / final document review, management of contributory authors, and document production.
  • Skilled in producing and editing proposal content within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  • Write technical responses covering all aspects of Civil Engineering
  • As jobs come in segregate them and assign the different sections to the relevant discipline (e.g. H&S, Quality etc.)
  • Answer technical questions. These will relate to Rail, Highways, Airports and Ports bids.
  • Compilation of Supplier Questionnaire Documents
  • Weekly updates of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Pre- Qualifications, Tenders and Leads.
  • Liaise with all Estimators any action any deliverables required
  • Understand the core of the project and the delivery process (by speaking to the resources involved in the delivery plan).

 
Who we are looking for:

  • You have effectively driven success with previous projects and have a fantastic reputation that backs up what you have achieved over the years.
  • Experience of delivering successful high value (£50m+) bids across Rail, Highways, Airports and Ports
  • Full knowledge of the bid lifecycle from tracking of OJEU notices to PQQ, Tender and Post Tender Interviews
  • Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledgebase system is essential. 
  • Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office.
