Senior Bookkeeper

We're looking for an Interim Bookkeeper to join a professional services team based in Manchester. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting skills and have an understanding of bookkeeping practices.

Description

• Maintain financial records including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
• Creating and analysing financial reports.
• Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerised accounting system.
• Management accountant and month end duties.
• Producing payroll reports.
• Completing VAT returns.
• Cash flow forecasts.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to improve financial processes.
• Ensure financial compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to the finance department during the year-end audit.

Profile

A successful Interim Senior Bookkeeper should have:

• Previous experience working as a Senior Bookkeeper or Management Accountant.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Good communication skills for reporting financial information.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
