Role purpose:
By joining Vodafone Partner Markets team you’ll have a unique opportunity to be part of the leading global telecoms partnership, working with local operators all over the world to market a range of global products and services that extend our reach into local markets.
This role is in the Partner Markets consumer function, which works with Partners to develop their consumer businesses, growing top-line revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. To achieve this, the Partner Markets consumer team has a broad set of capabilities typical of a Vodafone local market Consumer Business Unit, including segment marketing, customer value management, terminals, brand communications, customer experience, distribution, retail and digital.
This role leads the brand for Vodafone branded Partners and high impact brand programs to our non-branded Partners. This is a broad-based and complex role including: launching the Vodafone Brand in new markets and implementation of local brand strategies, go to markets plans and brand awareness campaigns; management of the execution of the Vodafone brand and the relationship with local creative partners. The Senior Brand Manager Partner Markets is accountable for maintaining a consistent Vodafone brand presence driving brand marketing performance in local markets against KPIs to ensure Partners derive incremental value from the use of the Vodafone brand locally.
The role is also accountable for impact delivery and revenue generated by the Branded Partner fee, which makes up a significant proportion of the partner markets revenues, hence it is paramount for this role to be able to articulate clearly at CEO-level the value of branded partnerships, drive the business development with the respective CBU Directors of our current and potential new partner operators.
It’s an extremely wide-ranging role, which requires both breadth and depth of brand experience, strategic mindset, ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives, strong collaboration, and pragmatic application of resources, skills and experience. The role is also responsible for managing the “on-ground” Vodafone brand teams to ensure both maximizing the impact of Vodafone brand on strategy, execution, and alignment with VF brand guidelines.

The role is accountable for:

Impact delivery
  • Evaluation of new Branded Partnership opportunities playing a key role during the acquisition/pitch process (eg. Vodafone Oman) and definition of the brand fee.
  • Launch the Vodafone brand in new markets
1.Governance and project management of the whole process
2.Definition of local Brand KPI
3.Set up of the local brand team
4.Selection and co-ordination of local advertising, media and research agencies
5.Analysis of consumer research framework
6.Deep cultural analysis to identify local insight
7.Development of local brand strategy and positioning framework based on the output from the consumer research data
8.Design customised communication strategies to launch branded customer experience in local markets
9.Development of go-to market plan
10.Implement Brand Tracking Study and research methodologies
11.Evaluation and post-test analysis
  • Provide leadership of creative excellence across Vodafone Branded Partners and supports them with their challenges to raise the global standard of communications output & capabilities resulting in superior financial performance and high level of brand consideration.
  • Managing the brand withdrawal process for the Vodafone Branded Partnership closure in terms of process and governance to guarantee a smooth migration and avoid any reputational risk that could damage the brand (PNG, Afrimax Group etc)
  • Building and delivering high impact brand programs in non Vodafone branded Markets with significant NPS impact and strong C- and D-level relationship (eg. Marketing the Network Program, Brand repositioning strategies, brand migrations, social purpose, segments platforms).
Business development
  • Business development to grow Partner Markets consumer business revenue, and NPS performance
  • Grow the VF Branded Partner Markets on-going support to justify brand fee and ensure contract renewals.
  • Own the relationship at C-level and supports them in driving brand KPI in their markets

  • Brand marketing expert with strong knowledge and experience in brand planning, strategy, digital marketing, media, data, social, content production, sponsorship and market research.

  • Experience in delivering complex, high impact brand projects in telecoms
Key performance indicators:
  • Partnership Value Contribution (Brand Fee generated by branded Partnership 52M Euros)
  • Partner Markets Delight Index (PMDI)
  • Incremental revenue impact through new branded partnership agreements
