Senior Building Surveyor

A global construction organisation is looking to add a Senior Building Surveyor to their Surrey offices. The building consultancy team has grown from strength to strength and now boasts over 60 professionals across 7 locations. Due to continued success and organic growth an opportunity in the Epsom team has arisen.

Friendly, dynamic and slick are words to describe the building surveying team. We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to compliment the department. You will ideally come from a proven project background and have experience in managing multiple schemes at once. You will liaise with important stakeholders and consultants.

The role is to predominately operate in the local authority, housing association and education sectors. You will lead several projects from inception to completion, 95% of the work is based in Surrey. Project values range from £200k - £3million. The opportunity is ideal for a confident project focused Building Surveyor to undertake schemes with full anatomy.

Responsibilities

• The use and application of standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
• Knowledge of building surveying professional services.
• Understand the principles of quality, safety and the environment within the management of projects.
• Supporting the senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
• Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes in the South West East Region.

Senior Building Surveyor

• BSc in Building Surveying
• MRICS qualified
• Strong technical knowledge
• Experience in managing multiple workloads and projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Meticulous nature and a keen eye for detail
