Senior Building Surveyor | Yorkshire surrounding areas | Full Time | £46,000 - £54,000 per year (negotiable)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality building surveying services.
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will lead and manage projects, provide expert guidance to Junior Surveyors, and work closely with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, making use of your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will earn £46,000 - £54,000 per year, depending on skills and experience, to be discussed at interview.

Are you the right person for us?
- BSc in Building Surveying, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience post qualification in building surveying, with a track record of managing projects successfully
- MRICS (preferred)
- Proven expertise in building pathology, defect diagnosis, and building regulations
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Outstanding leadership and teamwork abilities, with a passion for mentoring and guiding junior staff
What will your role as a Senior Building Surveyor look like?
- Lead and manage building surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on schedule
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of buildings, identifying defects, and providing comprehensive reports to clients
- Offer expert advice on building regulations, planning permissions, and compliance with relevant industry standards
- Provide guidance and support to junior surveyors, fostering their professional development
- Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, integrating them into project delivery where applicable
