What you'll be doing:
The Senior Business Development Lead (Total Waste Management) will make a key contribution to Veolia's drive for a substantial share of the market. Through the creation of compelling value propositions that truly set us apart from our competition, you will secure profitable new business contracts with tier 1 customers across the Industrial Water and Energy business.
- Provide project leadership of cross-functional teams to enable the delivery of solutions, projects and targets.
- Work closely with a number of internal stakeholders from our Technical, Operational, PMO, Commercial, Financial, Legal and HR teams to co-design and put forward winning solutions.
- Provide timely reporting and insights to the Head of Development and the Business Development Director on key customer and market updates and changes.
- Prioritise resources to ensure opportunities in the market are realised with maximum return on investment.
- Play an active role in internal market working groups, sharing market knowledge, opportunities and innovations in order to help cross-sell and improve customer communications.
- Act as a coach and mentor to the Business Development Leads in the team, building a trust based working relationship to enable you to help unlock potential in the team.
What we're looking for:
- Experience of building a new business pipeline with tier 1 customers.
- Proven track record and Business Development experience selling complex and high-value contracts.
- Developing proposals and winning complex tenders and bids.
- Experience working in a large, matrix environment.
- Ability to turn strategic vision into delivery.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as stakeholder management.
- Good level of commercial acumen and financial modeling.
- Understanding of coaching models and techniques.
- Understanding of Veolia's offerings in water and energy.
- Operational and Technical knowledge.
- People management.
