Responsibilities
Own and lead developing Chinese customers in expansionary mode
- Identify through manager's own network, research, conferences, trade associations, a potential list of Chinese customers fitting into DSC aligned sectors of development
- Leverage SFSC, DHL China BUs network in identifying Chinese accounts expanding globally
- Develop relationships with customers senior stakeholders (eg Supply Chain Regional Heads) in exploring SL and CL opportunities with these customers outside of China
- Jointly work with AP BDM on exploring CN outbound opportunities & sector strategies for the regions
Manage and drive China outbound opportunities to DSC country teams globally
- Connect and brief our counterparts, bridging the customers to our DSC teams for local development
- Provide guidance and support our DSC teams in opportunity development such as being the intermediary in meetings and negotiations
- Established relationship and communication with China based customer stakeholders in providing valuable feedback to DSC teams in converting the business
Drive joint development with DSC countries for targeted Chinese customers
- Work jointly with DSC teams for the development of identified Chinese customers in the respective countries
- Develop relationship with China based stakeholders while country teams in parallel work with local contacts
- Support countries with upcoming tenders, providing guidance from customer coaches, participating in meetings and negotiations
Pipeline Management
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive, healthy pipeline of China outbound opportunities
- Provide updates on the opportunities to respective DSC stakeholders
- Advise DSC stakeholders on the required support to convert the opportunities
Requirements
- 10-15 years of extensive knowledge of Supply Chain/Contract Logistics/Service Logistics business
- Required Business Development experience with in-depth knowledge of China expanding sectors and enterprises
- Established a network of Chinese customers and accounts
- Multi-regions working with DSC global teams and customers supply chain management teams
- Degree qualified, ideally with Professional Supply Chain certification/diploma
