About the Role
Pay: £12.30 up to £13.30 per hour
Shift Patterns: 07:00-15:00 & 15:00-23:00
Location: This role will be working across our extra care schemes in Colchester and Clacton-on Sea
As a Senior Extra Care Assistantyou will help support our staff and customers in a variety of ways depending on their needs, this could include supporting with office duties, spot checks, competency sign offs as well as providing personal care, medication management, light domestic duties, meal preparation, shopping and companionship.
About You
- We do require that you have a minimum of 12 months on your right to work upon your application for this vacancy.
- Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, and achieved or working towards NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
- At least two years' experience working in a social care environment - preferably with vulnerable people over 65.
- Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementia
- Excellent communication skills and a real ability to show empathy to people under your care
