About you:

Job Role:
This role will be split between Wing Supervisor & Senior Health Care Assistant.
Wing Supervisor
- Ensure Outlook Cares values are embedded, with increasing choice and control for residents in the service.
- Ensure staff are effectively inducted, supervised, appraised and trained in all areas including care planning.
- Ensure service delivery meets the requirements of the contract, Essential Standards as set out CQC, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure safeguarding is given the utmost priority and policies and procedures are understood and rigorously followed by all staff thereby ensuring residents’ safety.
- Ensure staff understand their responsibilities and operate within the mental capacity framework
- Ensure Care plans are updated by the SHCA at least monthly or as needs change

Senior Health Care Assistant
- Implementing systems for quality assurance ensure CQC, Outlook Care Policies and procedures and other regulatory compliance is met
- Demonstrating positive role modelling to a specified team, ensure Outlook Care’s values are embedded within service delivery, increasing choice and control for service users.
- Supervising, coaching and managing the performance of specified staff ensure a safe and effective person centred service is delivered within a well maintained and homely environment that is safe for residents to enjoy
- Developing good relationships with families and key stakeholders ensure the continued development of the service
- Ensuring safeguarding is given the utmost priority and operational policies are understood and followed, service user safety is assured
- Contributing to the development of the service ensure practice is current and conforms to good practice standards
- Have a good understanding of the importance of nutrition and infection control, ensure the wellbeing of service users and staff
- Undertake delegated health related tasks e.g. dressings and medication administration
- Developing person centred care plans ensure care is of a high standard focussed on the persons needs and aspirations

The Service:
Foxburrow Grange is a 69 bed home with state-of-the-art facilities with an outstanding and friendly team of dedicated staff. The home has been delivering person-centred care for 30 years, is within easy reach of major transport links and close to Colchester town centre. The home comprises of four wings. On the ground floor are 32 bedrooms for residents with dementia, with a further 37 rooms on the first floor for people in need of nursing and/or dementia care.
