Key Responsibilities:
- Own and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of account and portfolio analytics for the Property portfolio.
- Act as a knowledgeable liaison between outsourced modelling teams and underwriters, ensuring clear communication on modelled output and staying updated on model developments.
- Drive the development of enhanced reporting and analytics.
- Build a profound understanding of the Property portfolio, aligning catastrophe analytics with business strategy for strategic underwriting decisions.
- Develop an understanding of data sensitivities and enhance data quality protocols.
- Produce analytics for annual business planning, portfolio reviews, exposure, and loss estimate reports.
- Contribute to the purchase of reinsurance through insightful analytics.
- Provide data to the Catastrophe Regulatory Team for regulatory returns.
- Collaborate on automation projects
- Contribute to various team-wide projects.
- Over 5 years of catastrophe modelling experience, emphasizing detailed portfolio analysis, reporting, and model testing.
- In-depth experience with Risk Link / Risk Browser and preferably AIR.
- Proven ability to manage sizable projects with elements of significant complexity.
- Evidence of solving technical problems and challenges.
- Previous experience with SQL is required.
- Degree educated, preferably in mathematics, engineering, or a science.
- Advanced data manipulation and analytical IT capabilities.
- Knowledge of RMS EDM and RDM structures; familiarity with other programming languages such as R is valuable.
- Preferable knowledge of AIR TSE and TSR structures.
