SalaryIPS have partnered with a leading global (Re) insurance provider in their search for a Senior catastrophe analyst to join the business, with a focus across both natural and man-made perils on a Direct & Fac basis across both Syndicate and Company Market business.
The successful candidate will be working closely alongside Underwriting and Pricing teams to ensure consistent view of exposure in line with the business’ strategy and risk appetite. You will have ample opportunity to be directly involved in project work such as model validation, evaluation and development, as well as utilising your technical skills to streamline processes and increase overall efficiency. Working in a dynamic and diverse team, this is an opportunity well suited to an ambitious professional who is eager to broaden and develop their knowledge of wider exposure analytics.
To be considered for this position:
- Strong catastrophe modelling experience using a recognised vendor model (RMS/RiskLink preferred but others considered)
- Additional coding and programming languages (eg; Python, R, VBA) being advantageous but not a requisite
- Innovative and passionate about providing creative solutions
