NI Water provides water and wastewater services for all of Northern Ireland. As a member of the Procurement Team you can make a real difference to your community by supporting these vital services.
The Senior Category Manager will be a key member of a highly effective management team. You will possess leadership, influence, business sense and sourcing expertise to support your procurement categories. You'll take full ownership of your category plans and sourcing strategies to directly support top management decisions and deliver on the bottom line.

There is one role available with responsibility for the Networks Maintenance, Waste Management and Leakage categories.

Candidates MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview that they meet the following, essential criteria:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A 3rd level qualification (HNC, HND or Degree) and at least of 3 years’ experience of working on tenders (exceeding £350k) to a successful outcome to include specification development, negotiation and bid evaluation.
Or
2. at least of 5 years’ experience of working on complex tenders (exceeding £1m) to a successful outcome to include specification development, negotiation and bid evaluation.
And
3. Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or commitment to work towards achieving this within 3 years of being in post.
4. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of line management, including staff development, objective setting and performance reviews.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and proven experience of interpreting and presenting data to making informed decisions.
6. Be able to demonstrate effective stakeholder management at a senior level.

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £39,740 to £48,570 per annum
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
