Role: Senior Category Manager
Location: Peterborough - two days a week in the office (flexible in which)
Salary: £55,895 to £61,373 per annum
Duration: Permanent
Sellick Partnership Recruitment Services are currently looking for a permanent Senior Category Manager to support our client based in Cambridgeshire. Main Duties of the Senior Category Manager:
- Provide a comprehensive and compliant procurement service to the organisation
- Deliver a variety of contracts in social care, property, leisure and public health
- Stakeholder engagement, supplier engagement, soft market testing, benchmarking, tendering, evaluation and award
- Working directly with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Delivery of end-to-end processes for all procurements
- Management and leading of cross functional project teams
- Analysing data effectively and spend profiling
- Deputise for Head of Procurement.
Our client is looking for a motivated and ambitious professional with relevant skills and experience to support the Head of Procurement.
Key Skills and Experience of the Senior Category Manager:
- Ideally working towards MCIPS qualification, QBE 5+ years
- Detailed expert knowledge of category management
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Ideally public sector experience
- Strategy preparation and delivery
- Expert practitioner in public contract regulations
- Experience of procuring contracts under EU and UK public contracts legislation
- Staff and Team Management
- A 'can do' attitude to getting things done that supports a teamwork approach
- Manage workloads within tight timescales.
