Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Prospero Health & Social Care are seeking Senior Children's Residential Support Workers to collaborate with children and young people facing learning disabilities, mental health, and challenging behaviours. Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (essential)

About the Service:
- Our services encompass supported living units, residential settings, and one-on-one support.
- We provide support to children dealing with a range of learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and challenging behaviour.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Positively contributing to the lives of the children in the supported setting.
- Build supportive relationships with the children and young people.
- Delivering practical and emotional care to individuals, empowering them to lead a normal life as possible.
- Availability for work on bank holidays and occasional weekends.
- Active involvement in implementing individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
- Maintaining effective communication and connections with service users, families, and others, always respecting confidentiality.
- Assisting service users with meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and washing.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (essential)
- 3 years' experience working with children/young people at senior level
- Ability to work flexibly, including early shifts, late shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts.
- A willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS disclosure or already having one in place if successful.
- Prior experience working with children and young people in similar diagnosis or settings.
- Obtainable references covering a span of 3 years.

- Possess at least one year of recent experience in a care setting involving learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and autism.
