You will be required to work 11 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

St Mungo Primary School is seeking a Senior Clerical Assistant. The successful applicant will be based at St Mungo but will be required on occasion to work at our partner school Hightae PS.

We are looking for a well-motivated and organised person to join us on a permanent basis to undertake a broad range of clerical duties.
You must have SVQ Level 2/NC/Highers or equivalent, experience of dealing with the public and children. An aptitude for PC work and knowledge of office systems and equipment are essential. You must be flexible and have a pleasant manner. Good interpersonal skills are essential as is a full understanding of the need for absolute confidentiality. An ability to work with the minimum of supervision is essential.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
