The organization have an enviable growth trajectory and have created this role will work alongside the FD and CFO to provide commercial insight and recommendations

The Role
Robert Walters have been engaged to recruit a permanent Senior Commercial Analyst for an instantly recognisable PE backed business based in South Manchester. The role will be responsible for business partnering, modelling and handling large volumes of data and providing key commercial support for the FD and executive team. Key responsibilities include

• Responsible for maintaining and developing existing financial models with a specific emphasis delivering commercial insight and assisting with the forecasting and budgeting processes of the business
• Design and enhance existing models to provide greater insight around the balance sheet, P&L and cashflow
• Business partner and deliver commercial insight of the successes / failures of the business plans / business outputs to the group
• Liaise with high level stakeholders across the organisation (both finance & non finance) to deliver commercial and strategic recommendations
• Analyse large volumes of data and deliver findings in a simplified format
• Develop improvements across a range of models / internal processes and regularly test / analyse the models efficiency output
• Deliver sensitivity analysis and scenario reporting across the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow model
• Identify areas of potential risk and liaise with internal stakeholders to make them aware of potential consequences

The Candidate

This opportunity offers the successful candidate unrivalled levels of exposure and commercial insight into an incredibly successful and cash rich PE backed business. In order to be successful candidates will demonstrate strong academics, highly developed analytical / modelling skills and knowledge of how a finance function works.

The individual will have advanced Excel skills and will have proven experience of working with large volumes of complex data, delivering models and commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills are key as they will be expected to work across multiple divisions to deliver key information to senior internal and external stakeholders. If any candidates have exposure to foreign currency this would be highly favourable.
