We are seeking a Senior Commercial Officer for our Government client based in Weybridge. This role will office based 60% and 40% remote. The Senior Commercial Officer role will be an initial 6 month contract, paying between £500 - £630/Day Inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

• The Senior Commercial Officer role will report to a Senior Commercial Manager and will Manage the whole procurement lifecycle for a variety of commercial contracts
• This role supports the Technical Services Programme at Weybridge
• Deliver and support in delivery of projects, procurements and contract / supplier management roles across the full Commercial DNA providing functional / specialist input to improve ways of working and business change and efficiency
• Responsible for explaining specialist Commercial guidance to operational teams in order to influence compliance with Defra policy / legislation / best practice ways of working and contribute to the delivery of business plans
• Keep up to date on changing legislation / best practice externally, to inform internal priorities and appropriate alignment
• Contribute to the development of strategies and development of team capability
• Managing Procurements through the whole lifecycle NEC3/4 Contracts and Construction experience
• Running a competitive tender process Contract Management CCS frameworks experience
• Some experience in Procurement or Category Management
• Taking on Multiple procurements at one time Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Self starter and quick learner
• Public Sector Procurement Knowledge
• Experience of using E-procurement systems (Atamis) Some report Writing Stakeholder engagement
• Public Sector procurement regulation knowledge/ NEC3 contract experience
• Running end to end procurement experience
• Construction experience
