Your role
As a Senior Consultant, you are an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in; you will define the problem, propose and refine the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability-building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Responsibilities
1. Perform hands-on software development including through good quality code and unit tests.
2. Primary focus should be to interpret business requirements and be a part of application development and support.
3. Perform ongoing refactoring of code, ability to debug and fix issues with code, thereby ensuring the application is in good shape from technical standards.
4. Develop code with good quality, which can be tested easily, and which works across all standard browsers and web platforms.
Required skills
1. 6+ years of development experience in developing enterprise-grade server side applications with Java as primary programming language.
2. Strong programming skills in Java, Data structures and algorithms, Web services, REST APIs, JSON, XML etc.
3. Experience with frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, messaging systems like Solace, Kafka etc.
4. Knowledge of CI/CD tools, ability to write unit tests, and perform operational support of applications whenever needed.
5. Knowledge and experience in RDBMS concepts and databases like Oracle, DB2 etc. along with NoSQL concepts and databases like Mongo, Cassandra, Couchbase etc.
6. Experience with various mocking frameworks, test driven development, and performance/endurance testing with tools like JMeter and Postman.
