Worley Consulting, the independent consulting business line of Worley, has approximately 2,000 people in 25 countries around the globe, integrating strategy, management, and technical consulting expertise. We provide solutions for clients in the Energy, Chemical and Resource sectors including Power, Renewables, Water, Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Chemicals, and Infrastructure industries.

We continue to push boundaries and extend our capabilities globally. We are a company that prides itself on providing safe and high-quality services that exceed our customer’s expectations. Our aim is to recruit, develop, and most importantly, retain the people who share our vision and strategy.

The regional (EMEA) Worley Consulting team is expanding again this year, building on a successful strategy update and targeted hiring in the past year. Individual(s) with non-traditional backgrounds are welcome but must have a consulting mindset to support business growth into new energy-related areas and to help existing clients navigate the energy transition. This role concentrates on supporting upstream, midstream and LNG clients focussing on integrated gas, decarbonisation and high-end consulting support.

At least two roles are open.

What we offer you:

Mid-level role within our EMEA consulting practice reporting through the Upstream, Midstream & LNG service line. The candidate(s) will be a member of the team providing technical, commercial and strategic consulting services supporting traditional operators and investors.

Opportunity to have a meaningful impact in directing and contributing to energy transition.

Opportunity to be challenged regularly in an environment where you will grow quickly with direct input to your career direction. We offer both technical specialist and business management routes.

Here is a list of some current projects to give a feel of typical work and direction:

  • Global CO2 value chain master planning
  • National CCUS roadmap development
  • Lender’s Technical Advisor for CCS
  • Vendor due diligence of LNG assets
  • Decarbonisation of upstream and midstream
  • Decarbonisation of gas grids with hydrogen
  • Sustainability audit of proposed LNG development
  • LNG technology strategy development

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Performance of technical and strategic studies covering subject areas such as:
  • Traditional greenfield and brownfield upstream and midstream (including terminals, shipping, and pipelines) developments specialising in low carbon fuels (including LNG) and renewables
  • Technical and commercial due diligence on behalf of financial institutions and owners
  • Re-purposing of assets for low carbon and renewable energy vectors
  • Identification of decarbonisation pathways for customers
  • Asset and portfolio optimisation to reduce carbon footprint
  • Performance of cost estimation and economic analysis to support the client business case
  • Lead client engagements and proposals
  • Delivery of technical and strategic projects
  • Develop future talent through on-the-job development and mentoring
  • Support the growth and reach of the consulting business

Qualities and Experience:

  • Demonstrated progression within previous career and a clear view of future career direction
  • Driven self-starter with the ability to take ownership to deliver in client facing roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate in technical and commercial decision-making discussions with confidence
  • Be familiar with a consulting business commercial approach (high margin, lower billability)
  • We advocate promoting value over years of experience

You'll have:

  • Relevant technical or business degree
  • Based in London or The Hague is preferred because of existing team, but alternatives will be considered
  • We are open to considering part-time and flexible working arrangements. Job shares, for example, is something we would be happy to explore.
  • English language skills
  • Willing to travel on semi-frequent, short-duration international business trips

Worley Consulting offers an excellent remuneration & benefits package, a friendly, professional, dynamic and flexible work environment along with the opportunity to develop your career prospects within UK and overseas.

We strive to be an industry leader in health, safety and environmental performance. Our vision is to achieve zero harm to people and assets, and zero environmental incidents. We select people who share our values, beliefs and commitment to this vision and who demonstrate the expected behaviors, competencies and performance associated with their prospective roles within the company.

We thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted. Worley Consulting is an equal opportunity employer.

Moving Forward:

We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact. So, our focus is on a values-inspired culture that unlocks brilliance through belonging, connection and innovation.

We’re building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. Creating a space where everyone feels they belong, can be themselves, and are heard. And we're not just talking about it; we're doing it. We're reskilling our people, leveraging transferable skills, and supporting the transition of our workforce to become experts in today's low carbon energy infrastructure and technology.

Whatever your ambition, there’s a path for you here. And there’s no barrier to your potential career success. Join us to broaden your horizons, explore diverse opportunities, and be part of delivering sustainable change.
