My client is a large main Northern Irish contractor who undertake prestigious projects in the retail, commercial, hospitality and leisure industries. They have been established for over 30 years and have gained an enviable reputation for delivering bespoke design and build solutions on large-scale complex fit out projects throughout the UK & Ireland. Due to sustained growth, they have a requirement for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager on a permanent basis initially to be responsible for the delivery of multiple fit out contracts.

Your new role
As the Senior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and management of a number of fit out & refurbishment contracts based throughout the UK & I and report to the Fit Out Director. You will have the responsibility of managing and directing a management team to oversee and manage the delivery of small to medium-sized multidisciplined projects across multiple sites simultaneously.
As Senior Contracts Manager, you will have direct and indirect management of a self-delivery teams & be responsible for all safety, health, environment, and quality matters, including driving excellence and championing continuous improvement. Within this role you will have day to day engagement with all stakeholders including internal management, internal supervision, internal operations, supply chain partners and clients & deploy appropriate and competent resources to all project management activity.
The management of client Key Performance Indicators (KPI) & preparation of monthly contract reports and attendance at client meetings is essential to fulfil this role. Also you will implement the Business Management System, monitoring and control mechanisms, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to statutory and legal requirements and manage the projects risks and opportunities in line with company procedures.

What you\'ll need to succeed
In being a prominent and senior role within the company you are expected to have a 3rd level qualification such as BSc in a recognised building degree or equivalent along with a minimum 5 years experience at a senior contract manager level within the fit out sector.
Experience of leading, managing and motivating project teams in demanding environments & being proficient in programming and planning works is highly desirable.
As Senior Contracts Manager you will be able to demonstrate current Health & Safety experience including site set up and have sound knowledge of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) & possess a good understanding of elements necessary to deliver effective supply chain management and support across the organisation.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to manage a team and for relationships with Clients & have the ability to motivate, lead and engage diverse teams with due consideration to employee development, succession, and performance management meaning good management skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance is essential.
