Fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-growing business in the cleantech space. We are looking for Senior Contracts Managers or Commercial Lawyers who have a background in contract management and legal advice; ideally from an engineering, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc. background.
This business operates within the clean-tech space providing an incredible solution to their client base.
The business already has an established team of Contracts Managers who provide a high level of support to the business. This is a newly created role, to provide the support as per the duties below but also to provide wider legal advice and support to the business on an ad hoc basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone to establish high standards to meet the exacting demands for the end customers. The scope of responsibilities covers all bidding and contract negotiation activities leading to contract award and transition into the delivery phase.
This person will be involved in creating innovative contracting structures to enable growth, negotiation of technology collaboration agreements and financing agreements.
In this newly created Senior Contracts Manager position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Oversight of all necessary pre-award contract management and administration activities providing appropriate professional advice and leadership
- Develop contracting strategies to support new bids
- Implement best practice processes and solutions - Pre-award
- Lead preparation of appropriate contract structures and terms to achieve balanced and manageable contracts
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years contract management experience or 5+ years experience working as a legal counsel/lawyer in a transferable role
- Someone who has experience in supporting commercial teams and the understanding of full contract life-cycle
- Ideal sectors of previous experience would be Oil and Gas, Shipping, Engineered Components, Defence and Aerospace
- Someone who is able to make commercial focused legal decisions and produce deliverable and enforceable contractual documents and templates with minimal input from more senior management
- Experience in supporting sales teams directly with contract negotiations and liaising directly with customers, particularly in Asia
