We are seeking an astute, robust, creative and well-connected communications expert to join our team at Investec Bank. As the Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Investec's Corporate Communications and executive PR program in the UK, aimed at promoting and protecting the Group's reputation and supporting the commercial goals of the business.

We are looking for a candidate who is driven to find unique ways to engage our stakeholders with the story of the Group's growth journey. You should have a strong track record working in the banking sector, with excellent media contacts in banking and financial services. You should have an academic qualification in communication or related discipline and excellent written skills with the ability to write for a variety of audiences, channels, and leadership styles. You should have first rate interpersonal skills for developing relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

This role will protect and enhance the reputation of Investec Bank plc (predominantly in the UK, Channel Islands but also in Europe, India and the USA) by developing and maintaining a compelling corporate narrative for the business, with a focus on developing and driving impactful communications programmes which showcase our sustainability, Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity (BID), and Digital and Technology credentials, ambitions and successes.

What you will be doing

• Coordinate and enable collaboration across Investec's PR and marketing community, ensuring corporate messages are integrated into brand and client segments.
• Manage UK Bank CEO PR strategy, including content development for thought leadership and social media
• Develop and manage the UK Executive narrative, identifying opportunities to promote our Executive team through traditional media, events and social media that support the wider corporate narrative and business priorities.
• Support our Communications Director with issues and crisis communications for IBP, co-ordinating with Group in SA.
• Drive tactical PR for Investec Group in the UK by working with business PR leads, marketing team and PR agency to identify opportunities to position the Investec brand, Sustainability and BID
• Write press releases and other media communications to promote key leaders in the organisation
• Work with internal communications and wider Marketing team to advise and align on key messages for leadership and business strategy, as well an manage and optimise Investec's media monitoring and PR measurement/reporting.

What we are looking for

• A track record of working in a senior Communications role in the financial services industry
• An academic qualification in communication or related discipline and excellent written skills with the ability to write for a variety of audiences, channels and leadership styles.
• Great interpersonal skills for developing relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to advocate around communications strategy at a executive level
• Excellent media contacts and networks in banking at national, regional and trade level.
• Ability to challenge, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation.

As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
