Credit Analyst
Venn Group are currently recruiting an individual to work as a Credit Analyst within the bank’s Real Estate function on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the position is to prepare the credit applications, report on client developments on a regular and ad hoc basis, and ensure effective communication between Relationship Managers is maintained and propagated. The role-holder will focus on new transactions for loan and real estate assets.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
• Work through the end to end credit application process, from inception through to management and advisory
• Represent the business at Credit Committee meetings, liaising with and acting as a key intermediary point of contact across internal department, including Relationship Management, Legal, Credit, and others
• Contribute to accurate financial forecasting, ratings interpretation
• Facilitate the extension of credit facilities and new loan extension processes for the sake of real estate credit applications, both new and existing
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and legal documentation adherence
• Preparation of good quality credit applications including financial analysis, projections, industry and peer analysis
• Assisting the Coverage team with new and existing transactions including structuring, and negotiating credit analysis, and documentation reviews
• Reviewing junior Credit Analysts work to ensure quality of credit is of a high standard and meets all regulatory requirements
• Reviewing loan/ISDA terms & conditions to ensure that the bank's risk is minimised wherever possible
• The successful candidate will also assist the Head of Credit in managing the daily workflow of the sub-team ensuring all tasks are met on a timely basis and presentation to Credit Committees is done to a high level
• Strong understanding of Credit Quality, Credit Processes and the associated Training and Development
• Strong experience with credit documentation, ISDAs, CSAs, netting and credit mitigating features
• Extensive working knowledge of Excel (financial modelling) and Word.
• Have strong interpersonal skills engaging with key stakeholders at all levels.
