Job description

The role of the Senior Data Analyst offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the success of the institution. Based in the Planning & Analytics Office (PAO) at the heart of the University, our work helps the organisation achieve its strategic ambitions by ensuring colleagues have the in-depth understanding of the customer and market they need to make the best possible decisions.  You will play a key role supporting in pre-planning cycle preparation activities, student experience surveys analysis and managing 3rd party service providers. The work will be varied and interesting, such as analysing a variety of data sources to seek out consumer and market trends or identify improvement opportunities for developing our course portfolio through to aiding the improvement in student experience.  To perform this role you will be a proficient user of analysis software, tools and self-service platforms with specialist knowledge to perform data manipulation and analysis, experience of working within Higher Education desirable. You will lead on the provision of analysis and design of Powerbi dashboards to support data analytics within the team and across the institution. Please see the full job description for further details.  As well as being curious with an inquisitive disposition, experience and skills in working with various data sets to analysis and draw out insights are very important, as well as having a strong focus on detail and accuracy.  You will need to be a strong communicator, an inquisitive analyst and be able to identify and convey key messages and recommendations using your communication skills to stakeholders.
