We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking individual to join the South Yorkshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism (MHLDA) Provider Collaborative Team.
Our Collaborative brings together four trusts to work at scale to benefit the population of South Yorkshire and membership comprises:
• South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, SWYPFT
• Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, SHSC
• Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, RDaSH
• Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, SCFT

Transforming MHLDA services is a significant priority within South Yorkshire. This requires us to work across the whole system, with individual organisations and people who use our services. To do this we need to put in place robust business intelligence arrangements, ensuring we provide the right information at the right time to help our plans succeed.
The Senior Data Analyst will bring analytical and technical skills to inform strategy development and delivery of identified work priorities.
The role holder can understand and guide teams to apply a range of methods to analyse research data and synthesise findings, from initial receipt and preparation of the data asset through to analysis and interpretation of the data to support publication. Working as an analytical lead within multi-disciplinary teams alongside colleagues from across Data and Insights, the role holder will advise on the choice and application of techniques, and can critique colleagues’ findings to assure best practice, ensuring that data are handled in an efficient and secure way in line with information governance legislation.
The role holder will apply the following skills including:
• Leading requirements gathering
• End-to-end process mapping
• Code development
• Data quality assurance, data cleansing and improvement
• Building and reviewing complex data models and undertaking data analysis and interpretation
• Building high-quality and complex data visualisations and written reports used to monitor performance and drive decisions that ensure improvement for patients/public
• Implement modelling techniques to predict scenarios and outcomes
This role will comply with all regulatory requirements in such areas as data quality and data security, within an environment that is committed to the proper governance and secure use of data.
This role is hosted by RDaSH on behalf of the South Yorkshire MHLDA Provider Collaborative. The role holder will have an honorary contract with South Yorkshire ICB with day-to-day management and professional support being provided by South Yorkshire ICB Data and Insights Team. The role holder will work closely with the provider trust Performance and Informatics teams.
