In order to deliver our Operations Data vision which assists the successful delivery of the 2030 strategy, the Operations Global Data Office Team are recruiting a Data Quality Assurance Analyst. You will have experience in both data management and data quality and have a proven track record working in a complex data environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the Data Office by creating data quality dashboards, to ensure adherence to data standards and data governance policies. You will work closely with the data stewards and business owners developing code written in SQL for monitoring and measuring the quality of data. You will support the remediation and cleansing of data.
Typical Accountabilities
* Develop and support the creation of data quality dashboards in Power BI, by extracting data from various Global SAP systems into Snowflake and developing rules for identifying DQ issues using MS SQL Server Management Studio.
* Writing and creating data quality rules using SQL and working extensively with the business to define requirements to support continuous data quality monitoring.
* Provide extensive data analysis and profiling across a wide range of data objects.
* Reconcile data against source to ensure results are trustworthy and reliable.
* Strong focus on high levels of process automation, ensuring data and results are kept up to date.
* Facilitate matching or linking multiple data sources together and create complex joins to provide data discovery and continuous DQ monitoring.
Essential requirements
* Experience Developing and supporting the creation of data quality dashboards in Power BI.
* Demonstrated experience & subject matter expertise within data management disciplines, including the three pillars of data quality, data governance and data architecture.
* Advanced SQL skills to aid data analysis and data quality rule creation.
* Expert in extracting and manipulating data in various formats.
* Strong visualising experience, using Power BI or similar for monitoring and reporting data quality issues.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
* Experience in Snowflake or similar for data lakes.
* Strong desire to improve the quality of data and to identify the causes impacting good data quality.
* Experience of Business and IT partnering for the implementation of Data Quality KPIs and visualisations
* Experience of the following for data cleansing - Winshuttle, Aperture or Celonis for data process mining.
* Working within a lean environment and or knowledge of data governance methodologies and standards.
