Job Description:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll play a pivotal role as one of the initial members of a skilled yet compact team. Roles & Responsibilities:

* Analyzing historical fleet operations data to create precise fleet transition plans in collaboration with the Head of Software and COO.

* Creating robust and reusable data science pipelines and tools to facilitate the scalability of fleet transition planning services. * Enhancing sector knowledge through customer interactions and industry trends to amplify the real world impact of your work.

* Improving the accuracy and applicability of proprietary electric trucking operation models.

* Prototyping and implementing new capabilities for optimal planning of electric truck operations and charging.

* Incorporating third-party services into solutions when necessary, balancing build vs buy decisions.

* Collaborating closely with software engineers to oversee the lifecycle of data science solutions from concept to deployment and maintenance.

Skills:

* Strong foundational knowledge in mathematics and software, preferably with a background in physical engineering (e.g., electrical power/energy, mechanics).

* At least 2 years of professional experience working with Python.

* Proficiency in Python, encompassing common data science libraries like pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.

* Familiarity with standard software development tools and methodologies such as Git, CI/CD, and JIRA.

* Experience in numerical optimization, including nonlinear and mixed-integer programming, utilizing libraries like CVXPY or JuMP.

* Desirable experience includes working with physics-based numerical simulations (ODEs).
