This financial services company are looking to hire another Data Scientist into Data team, reporting into the Lead Data Science Manager. You'll be working with both external and internal stakeholders helping various business areas add value using Data Science so you'll work on projects around pricing & customer segmentation. As you'd be coming in as the 2nd most Senior in the team, you'll be expected to mentor and upskill Junior Analysts and Graduates so it's a great opportunity to explore leadership.

THE ROLE

As the Data Scientist for the business you will:

• Build machine learning models using Python focusing on customer segmentation, price optimisation and prioritisation with the overall aim of revenue generation for the business
• Liaise with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and explain how Data Science can add value to the business
• Mentor and upskill Junior Analysts and Graduates in the wider Data team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong academic background to Degree level in a numerical subject
• Commercial experience in Data Science ideally involving either customer segmentation or pricing
• Excellent coding skills using Python
• Experience building machine learning models
• Experience mentoring or coaching other team members
• Tech: Python, SQL

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Basic salary £45,000 - £55,000
• Hybrid working - 1-2 days per week in the office

INTERVIEW PROCESS

• Introductory interview with the hiring manager
• Case study to complete
• Present the case study back to the team with Q&A
• Final interview focusing on competency questions
