Kenna Recruitment is immediately searching for a highly knowledgeable Senior Document Controller plenty of construction and Power Bi knowledge. This is a fantastic position with a Tier 1 Residential Developer, based in their Head Office in North London and occasionally visiting their sites all based in Zone 1. This opportunity provides endless progression, with their super friendly, supporting team. (Power BI experience required)
Overview:
- Develop and implement document control protocols and procedures at the company level and on the assigned individual schemes.
- Maintain and further develop the existing Power BI reporting tools in accordance with the company’s aspirations and targets.
- Provide the required training to new and existing staff on document controlling procedures as and when required.
- Become the single point of coordination for improvement requirements coordination towards document controlling software provider.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with any relevant internal member and third party to ensure an accurate record is maintained of all drawings and other construction documents issued by consultants and contractors through each stage of the project.
- Process all documents issued daily, performing a thorough QA check, printing and review/ distribution, and electronic forwarding to create an accurate and comprehensive audit trail.
- With the assistance of the Design Managers, participate in the creation of design commenting workflows through Procore.
- Implement and further develop company reporting tools with the use of Power BI through Procore.
- Review and develop Procore data input mechanism and processes in a way to achieve an easier and more automatic translation into Power BI reporting tools.
- Document all discrepancies in document issues to subcontractors and professional partners, ensuring that the Project Manager and the Design Manager are aware of any discrepancies and that all problems are resolved in a timely fashion by liaising directly with all members of the wider project teams.
- Create and maintain an accurate, efficient, and user-friendly filing system (as set out in the company's Procore manual), ensuring that copies of drawings and documents are easily found.
- Ensure standardization of document naming and workflow processes across all projects on site.
- Manage design team and specialist subcontract design process ensuring the design team review, comment, co-ordinate, and status Sub Contractor’s design information.
- Manage Procore access and access rights of internal and external users.

About you:
- Good knowledge of document control and/or construction industry processes/terminology.
- Well organized with a high attitude in leading process driven tasks.
- Experienced in working as a Document Controller for the construction industry or similar.
- Good understanding of the Traditional and Design & Build procurement types.
- Experienced using an electronic document control system (Procore experience preferable).
- Proven planning and process management skills.
- Power BI presentation.
The ideal candidate would have strong IT and communication skills and experience within Document Control, Administration and Power Bi.
