This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
The Role
As Senior Electrical CAD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and performing electrical CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawing tasks for systems utilized in intricate remote handling robotic applications. You will play a central role in producing precise and comprehensive electrical CAD drawings for our projects throughout the RACE portfolio and blend technical expertise with electrical CAD proficiency to ensure the highest quality of CAD work and project success.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical design drawings in line with RACE, UKAEA, British & international standards.
- Establish and enforce CAD standards and best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to understand project scope, objectives and timelines.
- Facilitate seamless communication between CAD team members and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Engineering or technology degree, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in electrical CAD design and drafting.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical).
- In-depth knowledge of electrical design principles, schematics and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in CAD work.
