They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis in either the Coventry, Derby or Shrewsbury area.

The Role of Senior Electrical Design Engineer:
- Provide design of technical solutions for water and / or wastewater treatment facilities. This will encompass, technical input to projects from feasibility, through to detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Undertake feasibility evaluation/assessment for projects within the required timescales and within agreed feasibility budgets through both site visits and analysis of data.
- The creation & development of Electrical Designs that ensure the optimum whole life solution for STW and its Customers including consideration of:
- Energy efficiency, renewables, HV and LV electrical supplies, process control philosophies, electrical safety, DSEAR
- Health & safety / environment / buildability / commissioning / operations and maintenance / hazops / appropriate legislation & regulations principal designer - CDM Regulations (likely to be for more senior roles only)
- Undertake activities associated with Severn Tent’s role as Principal Designer - CDM Regulations
The Person
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will engage with multiple stakeholders to understand the root cause of the issues to ensure a non-repeat. You shall agree design assessment and completion milestones with the project manager and support the PM to define the correct contractual outputs ensuring successful delivery.
The successful candidate will ensure that all data is collected and validated. You will have a high-level appraisal of the feasibility of conceptual designs to create innovative and efficient solutions.
Experience Required for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer
- Water sector experience or similar (Petrochem / Pharmaceutical / Food / Aerospace / Power)
- Treatment Process understanding (desirable)
- Experience of undertaking the role of senior designer or similar leading role.
- Able to provide designs and specifications for commercial negotiations.
- Proven innovation of design to assist with the development of innovative solutions in the delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Implement CDM regulations in the design process.
- Experience of working closely with supply chain in delivering projects.
