Salary Range: £50,000-£60,000 DOE

Security Clearance: BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain.

Our client is an SME excelling in Advanced Maritime Technology, leveraging Defence expertise and cross-industry partnerships in advanced Naval Engineering. They are seeking a dynamic Electrical Design Engineer to propel the advancement of cutting-edge Maritime Technology and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate electrical systems into overall designs.
• Design & layout electrical systems
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards & safety regulations in all aspects of Electrical Design.
• Create prototypes for electrical systems and components, facilitating validation and testing.
• Collaborate with testing teams to perform functional, performance, and safety tests on electrical systems, swiftly addressing any identified issues.
• Innovate and propose improvements to enhance the efficiency, performance, and sustainability of EV electrical systems.
• Generate comprehensive documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports, for Electrical Design.
• Effectively communicate design concepts and findings to team members, management, and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

• Marine or Automotive Engineering background
• Technical Degree/equivalent qualification or 5 years minimum industry experience
• HV Experience
• Proficient in industry standard and regulations pertinent to electric vehicles
