Salary on offer:
The salary onoffer for the Senior Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.
Working arrangement:
The Senior Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer will be required to work 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
The role:
The successful Senior Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer will take lead for the design and development for Electronics & Embedded Software projects and products to an agreed requirement within agreed timescales.
Key Skills:
- 5-7+ years minimum industry experience
- Experience in the full product development lifecycle – start to finish of products
- Electronics Circuit Design (analogue & digital)
- PCB Design & Schematic Capture
- Knowledge and experience of Embedded C, C++
- Experience of microcontrollers & microprocessors
- Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Modbus, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi BLE, RF etc
- Knowledge of FPGA’s, GAL, PAL Chips
- Experience of DFM, DFT
- Ability to use test equipment – Oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers or similar
- Practical skills - Prototyping, fault find, bench testing
- Good communication and team work skills
Desirable nice to have skills:
- Knowledge of high and low level programming languages – Assembler, Python, Linux
- Knowledge of designing for harsh environments
- Knowledge and experience of EMC and LVD design approvals process
- Working with mechanical designers in 3D CAD to develop products
- Experience of team leadership, coaching, mentoring & project management
