Senior Electronics Engineer for our client based near Crewe.
Our client is the lead manufacturer of radio mass spectrometers across the UK and are in need of a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the production design team.
Senior Electronics Engineer Position Overview
- Unit test performing a range of electronic, hardware and software tests to ensure a unit performing within specification.
- Build and calibration of state-of-the-art electronics units.
- Writing/updating supplier test documentation for current/future electronics units.
- Combating obsolescence and identifying alternative components.
- Managing products through 3rd party certification (CE marking, EMC, LVD, ATEX, UL).
- Work with management, marketing and customers to create agreed specifications.
- Take ownership (full responsibility) of a product and drive it through all phases of design and development.
- Modify existing products to create highly customised and bespoke solutions for customers.
- Produce practical, robust and cost-effective (new?) designs with appropriate technical documentation.
Senior Electronics Engineer Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an electronics design environment.
- Degree or higher qualification in Electronics Engineering or similar.
- Good working knowledge of C language.
- Experience in firmware design.
- Embedded hardware design
- Schematic design and PCB layout
- Based within a commutable distance of Crewe.
- Full UK driving licence is beneficial
Senior Electronics Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary - varying between £40,000 to £60,000 - very dependent upon, skill, experience and qualifications.
- 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday - with flexible hour benefits.
