Senior Electronics Engineer

Senior Electronics Engineer for our client based near Crewe.

Our client is the lead manufacturer of radio mass spectrometers across the UK and are in need of a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the production design team.

Senior Electronics Engineer Position Overview

• Unit test performing a range of electronic, hardware and software tests to ensure a unit performing within specification.
• Build and calibration of state-of-the-art electronics units.
• Writing/updating supplier test documentation for current/future electronics units.
• Combating obsolescence and identifying alternative components.
• Managing products through 3rd party certification (CE marking, EMC, LVD, ATEX, UL).
• Work with management, marketing and customers to create agreed specifications.
• Take ownership (full responsibility) of a product and drive it through all phases of design and development.
• Modify existing products to create highly customised and bespoke solutions for customers.
• Produce practical, robust and cost-effective (new?) designs with appropriate technical documentation.

Senior Electronics Engineer Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an electronics design environment.
• Degree or higher qualification in Electronics Engineering or similar.
• Good working knowledge of C language.
• Experience in firmware design.
• Embedded hardware design
• Schematic design and PCB layout
• Based within a commutable distance of Crewe.
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial

Senior Electronics Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - varying between £40,000 to £60,000 - very dependent upon, skill, experience and qualifications.
• 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday - with flexible hour benefits.
