Job title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Parkside recruitment are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge maritime communication solutions.
Based in Chertsey, this role is pivotal in shaping the future of electronic capabilities for our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the architectural and detailed design of electronic solutions to meet project requirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful design solutions.
* Consider design for manufacture and test to facilitate a smooth transition to production.
* Integrate electronic solutions into systems, addressing any issues that may arise.
* Work with external test houses to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Comply with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
* Prepare high-quality documentation associated with the development lifecycle.
* Assist and collaborate with project teams on electronic aspects of products and systems.
* Provide occasional offsite support for product and system installations and maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven ability to evaluate, mitigate, and manage engineering risks.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong multitasking and prioritisation with a hands-on approach.
* Problem-solving and fault-finding expertise.
* Broad electronics design experience in both analogue and digital techniques.
* Familiarity with power supply design and EMC compliance.
* Experience in electronics product design and legislative compliance (UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, Safety, etc.).
* Working knowledge of ECAD tools for circuit & PCB design (Cadence OrCAD desirable).
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
* Experience in FPGA/Firmware or embedded software design.
* RF Design experience.
* Ability to present ideas effectively to various stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
* Capability to obtain UK Higher Security Clearance and a full UK driving license.
* Desirable: Previous experience working with MoD Customers and equipment test standards.
