We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Engineer tolead with the support of the Facilities and Engineering Manager in all car parking matters and undertake key engineering roles within the team.
The Role:
- To manage all aspects of building, structures and engineering property-related matters, including scheme design, drawings, specification, contract administration and site supervision.
- To help to manage the Civil Parking Enforcement Service.
- To undertake routine CCTV system checks, maintenance and ad hoc requests and problems as may be required.
- To carry out the street naming and property numbering functions for all new developments and any requests for changes.
- To manage requests for all utility information.
- To lead on the maintenance/management of the car parks and street/footpath lighting.
- To assist with all aspects of Civil Contingencies (Emergency Planning) including any specific role as may be allocated, including emergency situations.
- To undertake surveys of land and structures as appropriate.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred..
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications or licensures may be advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing civil engineering projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Strong technical proficiency in civil engineering principles, practices, and software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
